Winter illnesses

Well, we went to the Doctor today for the third time this winter season!! New illness this time.. A cold that has led to ear infections.. Nothing we are new to.. Everytime we get a head cold we end up with ear infections.. the poor little guy really stands no chance, daddy had bad ears and mommy had terrible ears... It is definately no fun when you child is sick.. He feels terrible and there is absolutely nothing you can do to help him.. He relies on you to care for him and there is nothing you can do but hold him and love him.... It breaks my heart everytime he coughs!! Anyways, I just have to vent about how sick we/he has been..Something has to give!!!

AMAZING!!!

I met the neatest person yesterday and I am hoping that since she is dating a family friend of mine that I too will become even closer to her. She has the best outlook on life.. Her life experiences can teach us all a lesson or two. She has been a very successfull bussiness woman and climbed many ladders in the cooporate world. Knows many influential people around the world and yet she is so simple. Lives a very simple life in a small simple house. She sees life much in the same way that I do......

Are you living your life or is your life living you?


I believe that God has brought Connie into my life to validate that I am doing right!! I am living my life the way he has chosen! She could be living in a huge house in a super nice neighborhood, but she sees that life is not about that. She has every reason to be angry or upset with life and God but yet she is not!! She cherishes every day as if it will be her last!!


It is so wonderful and refreshing to know someone like her!

Question to ponder

Have you ever thought about this....

What if we are just a bunch of "ants" in someone's "ant farm"?

Life.....

How do you live your life?? What and how do you define yourself?? These questions just keep popping into my head..I think God is trying to tell me something and keep me straight in my heart and mind.. I have always tried to live my life the best I can and live every day like it might just be my last.. I try not to get caught up in the demands that society puts on us.. I was watching Oprah yesterday(I usually do not do this), the show caught my attention.. She is talking about living the Best life.. Well, yesterday on her show she had a family that had lost a son to a motorcycle accident.. What really struck me more than anything was this... The Family had lots of material things and lots of money with really GREAT jobs.. After they lost their son, they decided to get rid of everything.. the trinkets, the HUGE house, the cars, the furniture...and live out of their minivan and just travel the world..

As I listened to them talk, They said one thing that stuck to me.. Do you let your things, house, cars, trinkets, furniture, Define you or do you define you?

Is your heart good and filled with the very best or do you have the need to let "things" define what kind of person you are...

I really believe that this world would be a much better and happier place if people would just let go and let God lead their lives and live for the day.. Not for what they have......................

So this is my question:

Neatest invention yet!

I know everyone has probably already seen or heard about this product, but I think it is the neatest thing ever!! The Ziploc vaccum sealer... I have to grocery shop on a budget, like most people and yes we like to eat chicken and beef.. but it is too expensive if you don't get it on sale so I like to buy in bulk and freeze it into our family size portions.. the vaccum sealer lets you do just that and with no freezer burn!! I don't know how I ever lived without mine and it costs under $5.00!! Which is even better...

Just a few thoughts...

Just a few thoughts as I sat on the couch this morning and saw a little bit of Good Morning America..

They were discussing the unemployment rate and that lead into the whold bank bailout thing... One thought and it is a big one.. Why in the world would the Government think for just one minute that the big wigs would use the money to bailout their company and help stimulate the economy?? They have proven time and time again that they only think of themselves and not the best for our country.. I find it really sad that people with families that depend on them are losing their jobs left and right and not knowing how they are going to feed and clothe their kids, but yet the big guys are living it up on their hefty bonuses that they stole from the taxpayers of this country.. This is just so distressing to me...

Then I see how people are praying for this and that, mostly material things, which to me is a whole different issue, when they should be praying for our country and give our leaders the wisdom to make good decisions so that our fellow Americans can survive with just the basic nessicities of life..food, shelter, clothing...not new cars, new houses, trips to the spa, must I go on.... I know that everything happens for a reason and what comes around goes around, so I can only hope that those that are not doing right will get theirs in the end....
